Types Of Websites
We like to broadly classify sites in two ways: dynamic, and non-dynamic. A dynamic site is one that is used to dynamically store and display information that changes frequently or that needs to be searched on the site. When data is dynamic, it is easy to access and easy to change. Examples of a dynamic site are an ecommerce store that displays hundreds of products; an internet directory that shows folks where all the pizza places in a given city are; a dating site that allows you to scroll through male or female photos and profiles, or a blogging site that allows one or more people to create text entries that can later be pulled up in a quick search.

A non-dynamic site is one that has all of it's text and images pasted on the page instead of emanating from a central database. A non-dynamic site can only be looked at page by page and what is on the page will not change, until the web designer updates those pages.
Most sites are non-dynamic sites and these are appropriate for the majority of businesses and organizations. Of course, there are variations of both of these categories, and a non-dynamic site can simply have certain pages or sections that are dynamic, which is sort of a hybrid.
FLASH or STATIC
The other way we classify sites is in the architecture and structure of the website. A static site generally has no movement and the pages contain text, graphics and images. A Flash-enabled site is built in such a way that the text, graphics and images can all be programmed to move and act more like a movie. Frequently flash sites have sound effects and music to create a more fun and interactive experience. Flash sites inherently are going to cost more but many insist on this type of site to grab the attention of their audience.

Search Engine Optimization
Wild Planet places particular emphasis on what happens to your site once it's published on the Web.
Search engine optimization (also commonly known as SEO) is a critical component of your site's success. A company will spend long hours and valuable resources developing a website expecting to bring in vast amounts of new business. Once the design is done and the new website published, the expectation is that new business will come from those millions of people browsing and searching the Internet each day.
However, there are at least 20,000,000 individual websites trading on the Internet, with 20,000 new domain names registered every day. Unless your site has a credible SEO plan in place, the chances of your business being listed in any search results is not likely.
The area of web promotion and search engine optimization, ranking and positioning has become an integral part of promotion strategies for companies which understand how the Internet works. For a fraction of the advertising dollars committed to other media advertising, we can bring web traffic to your door. The major search engines have unique guidelines which you need to know about in order for your website to be successfully ranked and indexed.
Many companies can create a design for your website, but our team designs and builds websites that work and take into consideration your potential site visitors. There are a lot of websites – though attractive in design – that confuse visitors because of poor navigation and functionality that is too tedious to use.
